Asad Ali Ahmad co-founded Network Bio in 2021 after years spent at the intersection of clinical research operations and data infrastructure in Boston. The pattern he kept observing: a research program's scientific case was solid, the assay design was finalized, the team was ready — and the program was blocked waiting on cohort data. Not for weeks. For months. IRB negotiation, format incompatibilities, consent documentation gaps. The bottleneck was never the science.
Biorepositories across the country hold deep collections of consented, well-characterized sample data. The gap isn't collection — it's the access layer. The systems and documented processes that translate a biobank collection into a licensed, delivery-ready dataset that a research program's legal team can accept at data room review.
Network Bio builds that layer. We index, de-identify, enrich, and document biobank-derived datasets — organized by therapeutic area, standardized to FHIR R4 / VCF / Parquet, and delivered with the consent audit trail and Safe Harbor de-identification report that compliance teams need. We are not a CRO. We do not conduct trials, recruit patients, or manage protocols. We make existing biobank data accessible and licensable.
